2024 Field Operations Crew

Responsibilities:

Pre-game: cleaning shop and equipment, tearing down batting practice, chalking foul lines, assisting with watering the infield, and any additional game setup

Mid-game: dragging the infield, changing bases, pulling field tarp on and off during inclement weather

Post-game: cleaning dugouts, picking up chalk lines, assisting with clay work, setting out batting practice equipment, tarping mounds and plates


Job Summary:

The Indianapolis Indians seek candidates to provide a high level of support to the Victory Field Field Operations Staff during Indianapolis Indians home games and other events. It is our goal to make our guests’ experiences at Victory Field as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Our employees should be willing to go above and beyond to help make our guests feel welcome and always have a smile on their face.


Other Duties:

Assist with Indians promotions including, but not limited to, Friday Fireworks and Knot Hole Kids Club Fun Run.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Coachable and willing to learn new techniques, skills, and practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays


Compensation:

$10.00 hourly; estimated 4-6 hours per shift.

The Indianapolis Indians are the professional Triple-A baseball club affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
