2026 Game Day Employee - Merchandise Associate
MERCHANDISE ASSOCIATE
Reports to: Merchandise Manager
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Status: Seasonal, part-time; Non-exempt
Effective dates: March 27 – September 19, 2026
Position Summary
It is our goal to make our guests’ experiences at Victory Field as pleasant and as enjoyable as possible, this includes our players, staff, visiting teams and umpires. To achieve this, our employees need to be professional, courteous, pleasant, reliable, dependable and well groomed. Our employees should be willing to go above and beyond to help make our guests feel welcome and should always have a smile on their face.
Major Responsibilities
- Assist the Merchandise Management in preparing all merchandise areas for business during the game
- Serving our fans as they select different merchandise items
- Operating a cash register, assisting fans with check out
- Selling programs at our concourse Program Stand and ‘hawking’ merchandise throughout the seating bowl
- Help close the gift shop/stand/portable at the end of the game
- Should be able to answer fan questions in a friendly and polite manner
- Have good knowledge of Victory Field
- A strong customer service background is helpful
Other Duties
- Duties may include filling in at other positions as needed. Your supervisor may also assign additional duties
Skills and Qualifications
- Highly-motivated, energetic individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to interact with fans
- Excellent customer service, people and relationship skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-pace and stressful environment
- Ability to operate a computer and learn how to use cash register
- Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions; must have basic math skills
- Ability to stand for up to 3+ hours, and lift up to 50 lbs. is helpful, but not necessary
- Ability to work weekends, week days, week nights and holidays
Compensation
$10.00 hourly; estimated 4-6 hours per shift
